- Spring: Homemade coleslaw with spring green cabbage and carrots.
- Summer: Lettuce is seasonal in summer as well as rocket and baby spinach.
- Autumn: Add a kick to salads using spring onions or radishes, or include red or purple cabbage for colour.
- Winter: Serve warm salads such as couscous or rice.
- Make salads more interesting by adding different ingredients like chopped apple, orange segments, dried fruit, feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes, olives and tasty low fat dressings.
