Young peoples' opinions of school meals: a telephone survey

December 2007 Young people were asked about aspects of school food and the school meal experience in a national survey.

To understand possible reasons why secondary school pupils represent a particular challenge, young people were asked about aspects of school food and the school meal experience in a national survey.

A telephone survey was used to survey a nationally representative sample of 502 young people aged between 11 and 16. All respondents attended English schools and the interviews were conducted between 25th April and 12th May 2007. The sample reflected the population according to sex, socio-economic status, and regional split.
