Schools Food Panel third survey of headteachers

March 2008 School Food Trust’s third headteachers panel survey.

The aims of the third survey were to assess:

  • Range of food provision
  • Awareness and implementation of new regulations for school food
  • Stay-on-site and healthy eating policies
  • Whole school approach
  • Cooking clubs
  • Million Meals campaign
  • Measurement of school meal take-up

Findings from the surveys represent a broad cross-section of views of headteachers regarding catering provision in their schools.

Full versions of the Schools Food Panel reports and Appendices (incorporating questionnaires) are available on the School Food Trust website: www.schoolfoodtrust.org.uk/surveysandmonitoring#schoolsfoodpanel.
