Breakfast clubs in primary schools

The introduction of a breakfast club improved Key Stage 2 results in primary schools. Average KS2 results were statistically significantly higher by 0.72 point in the year after the introduction of breakfast clubs in 13 schools in deprived areas compared with a 0.27 point increase in 9 control schools.
