Event Report - Financial Challenges Conference 30 January 2007

February 2007 An event for Local Authorities raising concerns about managing the finances of school food transformation, held at the NEC, Birmingham

This event was organised by The School Food Trust in response to a number of Local Authorities raising concerns about managing the finances of school food transformation. It was aimed at education and catering leads, procurement leads and children and young people strategy leads in Local Authorities.

Over 80 Local Authorities were represented at the event. Presentations and discussions focused on several aspects of financial challenge, including increasing take-up, marketing school meals, training staff, effective procurement and maximising government funding through partnership working.
