Parents and Carers
There are many reasons why a parent may decide that they do not want their child to take a school lunch and asking for feedback directly from parents will help you to identify whether there are any cultural, family or community issues which are not currently being addressed. It also gives you the opportunity to discuss with parents any barriers that you may face within the school so that their expectations of the service and what can be achieved are realistic.

Getting feedback will help you to really understand the issues and concerns of the school community. This understanding is invaluable when planning and making decisions on the future of your food provision service. You need to explain what and why you are undertaking the exercise. Many pupils may not feel comfortable or accustomed to giving feedback and may need some assistance to ensure that the data collected is both useful and can influence the decision making process.
