Little Book of Goodness

Little Book of Goodness

September 2009 Advice and interactive guide for parents of Reception year pupils at start of school.

School lunches are now healthy, well balanced and nutritious. They pack in all the essential vitamins and minerals children need to help them grow, develop, fight infection and have the energy to lead happy and healthy lives. In fact, our children now benefit from some of the healthiest dinners in the world.

The Little Book of Goodness has been created to help parents make the right choice about food in schools for their child.

It contains information about the improvements that have been made to the school dining services over recent years, the Government Standards and the typical foods that are being served, including fruit and vegetables.
