Spring/summer and autumn/winter menus and recipes for early years settings
These are seasonal, example one-week menus and recipes which meet the voluntary food and drink guidelines. They illustrate the types and amounts of food and drink that can be provided to meet the nutritional requirements of children aged one to five years.
The two seasonal menu and recipes are spring/summer and autumn/winter. Each menu includes three meals (breakfast, lunch and tea) and two snacks per day, and includes recipes for each menu item. The recipes are tried and tested favourites from early years settings across England.
Each recipe has been photographed to illustrate typical example portion sizes, and ingredient quantities are included to prepare either five or 20 servings.
The menus can be downloaded below for free as a complete document, or by meal occasion.
