Time to train

Tue, 19th Oct 2010

Dietitians and registered nutritionists who help schools in England to interpret and use school food legislation can now sign up for bespoke training.

A one-day continuing professional development (CPD) programme – commissioned by the School Food Trust to make sure dietitians and nutritionists are fully equipped to help schools use the legislation – is being rolled out more widely.

All delegates who took part in a pilot version of the programme said they would recommend it to others, and the Trust is now working with Nutrition and Wellbeing Limited to deliver the course to more learners.

Using real-life scenarios and workshops, delegates will cover all the skills they need to help schools and caterers to use the national school food standards, and to audit the food on offer.

Professionals wishing to attend can now apply online for sessions on November 10th 2010 in London or November 17th 2010 in Newcastle. For more information, click here.
