General information

This training will provide participants with the skills to deliver effective food activities and cooking skills sessions to groups of children, young people, adults or families.

This practical course involves lots of hands on cooking and demonstration practice and covers basic food hygiene. Participants will take home all the knowledge and skills they need to set up a successful cooking club from scratch and organise community events to encourage their communities to get cooking.

The Let’s Get Cooking approach has a proven impact on people’s cooking skills and healthy eating habits. It encourages all cooking club members to cook ‘good food that is good for you’, and to use their new cooking skills and healthy eating ideas at home. See the link for details

Who should come on this course?

Anyone who would like to set up and run a healthy cooking club or occasional food activity and cooking sessions.

Ideally, participants should be confident in cooking at home, but the most important ingredient is enthusiasm and a willingness to join in, share experiences and learn new skills.

Price

£395 per person
£695 for two people from the same organisation

At Let’s Get Cooking, we know that cooking clubs and sessions are a lot more likely to be successful if at least two people from an organisation can work together to set up and run sessions. So we are offering organisations who book two or more people on the course a substantial discount, to help you make the most of this opportunity.

The course fee includes refreshments, lunch and all ingredients, Let’s Get Cooking recipes, an attendance certificate and other paper resources used on the training.
