This collection of case studies is designed to show you how others have taken the food in schools standards and translated them into successful schemes and initiatives.
The examples range from schools introducing individual and creative ideas into dining rooms, local authorities running pilot schemes to roll out into schools in their area, to parents reinforcing the healthy eating messages at home.

We’re aiming to make this section a comprehensive collection of healthy eating schemes from all corners of the country.
So if you’re involved in an innovative healthy eating programme at your school, or you want to share your experiences of changing young people’s attitudes to school food, let us know. Click here to submit a case study.
Please note: These case studies represent a cross section of good practice on a number of key themes. Whilst every effort is made by the Trust to ensure these are an accurate description of the school and subject matter they are only to be viewed as current on the date they were posted and may be subject to alteration after the case study is submitted. The School Food Trust cannot accept responsibility for inaccuracies in information provided by other agencies. If you wish to source up-to-date case studies on these or any other subjects for press or media purposes we recommend you contact the School Food Trust directly at info@sft.gsi.gov.uk.
The School Food Trust values your feedback; it helps shape future developments and changes. Therefore, we would be grateful if you could find time to let us know how useful you find our good practice case studies. Please complete and return this very brief questionnaire (Adobe pdf doc 352KB). All instructions are in the document. Thank you.
